Today I will write about a manga that is finally translated to Turkish. ( I feel like its a little late, but better than nothing, right?) It's Black Butler.
Like you can understand from its name it's dark and bloody. And there is already a warning in the beginning of its anime that it's for 15 years old or higher.

without giving a spoiler I am not sure how to explain the summary. so I decided to share the info on the back cover. And plus I can say this: you will witness how a 12 years old boy take a huge responsibility and fight against the impressively difficult situation. At this time he only has a butler to trust.( he trusts his butler because of the unreturnable contract they made.)And reading the relationship and development of the trust between those two is something that makes this manga interesting to read.

English Translation of the back cover: "Just a stone's throw from London lies the manor house of the illustrious Phantomhive earldom and its master, one Ciel Phantomhive. Earl Phantomhive is a giant in the world of commerce, Queen Victoria's faithful servant...and a slip of a twelve-year-old boy. Fortunately, his loyal butler, Sebastian, is ever at his side, ready to carry out the young master's wishes. And whether Sebastian is called to save a dinner party gone awry or probe the dark secrets of London's underbelly, there apparently is nothing Sebastian cannot do. In fact, one might even say Sebastian is too good to be true...or at least, too good to be human..."

something that makes manga interesting to read (in general) is; the extra parts which writer(mangaka) adds in the end or at the center. those extras are about his or her self. how they develop the story, how they made research, how they decided on the characters design and when writing these, which difficulties they had. And also the characters they draw as themselves also something really fun to see. For example, the writer Yana Toboso, At the end of volume 1 of Black Butler, he draws himself as a creature with horns. and he tells us how he imagines the "butler" character in his head. Also explains how he made research for England where the manga is taking place.

In Turkey, The Turkish translated one(First volume) is published in November 2017 (around the Istanbul Book Fair took place). But of course, this manga goes way back.

I haven't noticed that there is a different cover which has a host club theme on manga till I decide to take a photo for this post. I wonder if the English version has a different cover underneath the first cover.
Black Butler has a live-action movie, anime, video game and the second season with a different butler and a master.

At the same time, there is a musical theatre version of it. if you are interested you can buy it by clicking the link below the photo from CDJAPAN.

Let's just say, you read it, you watched it and you love the story. if you are interested in Japanese culture you probably know that the next step is buying its incredible merchandise. Well in Turkey still there aren't many options just calendar and some figures which are pretty expensive for an anime lover. But you can also buy online different stuff from CDJAPAN.

Gerekli Şeyler

Let's talk about the movie which was released in 2014. The leadings are Hiro Mizushima and Ayame Gouriki. In my opinion Butler roles really suits Hiro Mizushima. He is doing a great job. and if we remember that he returns to the screen just for this role after a long break and he lost some weight till he becomes 50kg to play Sebastian Michealis character, you can guess how seriously he thinks for this role.

Manga takes place at the 19th century England, but the movie takes place in 2020 at Asia. This change was necerracy to adapt Asian actors in the movie story, says the producer  Shinjo Matsuhashi.
Also what is different between manga and the movie is the main characters gender. in manga the main character Ciel is a boy. But in the movie character is a girl who has to disguise herself and acts like a boy.
Hiro Mizushima, the co-producer, co-scriptwriter and the leading actor of the movie, talked at the premiere of Black Butler about how people who know the manga and anime versions react.
well, briefly, it looks like some people thought that its disrespectful to the original piece. But of course, some people love the movie version, too.

We talked this much about the movie. so at least we can mention the movie location right? it's been shoot at Arita Porcelain Park (Saga Preference, Kyushu)
it looks really magnificent, doesn't it?
