You may be visiting Nagasaki and because there are so many options you don't know where to start. Let me help you about that. Here are some popular dishes of Nagasaki.




1- NAGASAKİ UDON

Nagasaki udon is one of the hidden local specialties. Its soup is so rich in dried bonito with natural sweetness that every local has one or two their favorite Nagasaki udon restaurant.




2-KAKUNI⠀


Kakuni pork belly was often reffered as the traditional cuisine in Nagasaki.



3- NAGASAKİ MORAY ⠀

 
Nagasaki moray is sweet, also meaty and its collagen helps your skin to get smoother. A must try in Nagasaki.⠀⠀




4- NAGASAKİ CHAMPON

Champon is first made in Meiji Era. it was a local Chinese restaurant which was trying to create nutritious meal for Chinese students. Champon is made with local specialty noodle, being topped with dainty fish roe.⠀




5- NAGASAKİ STEAK

Although fresh seafood is famous in Nagasaki, locals love meat!⠀⠀
Nagasaki beef steak, pork belly and Tonkatsu are cherished by Nagasaki people.⠀




6-TURKISH RICE⠀


YES! You heard it right Turkish!⠀⠀
This delicious food combination is called Toruko rice, Turkish rice. There is rice, spaghetti Neapolitan and katsu (made from pork or meat) on the plate. ⠀⠀
As a Turkish I am really interested in why they are calling this Turkish rice. But apperantly the origin of the name is unknown. But I will keep on searching. ⠀⠀
This is a Special dish you can eat in Nagasaki.⠀


7- SARA UDON

Sara udon(deep fried noodles covered with thick vegetable source) and rice balls can beat anything if you can ask Nagasaki locals.
